When a company was updating from ABB ACS800 drives to ACS880s ultra-low harmonic drives on a kiln fan upgrade, they needed the drives supplied in environmentally controlled enclosures (to prevent corrosion, which had previously been a problem), external to the main production area.
One of our DART partners oversaw the project management of the job, delivering the drives and the complete kiosk set up - as well as cable installation - fully commissioning the units and installing a DART remote monitoring system so an alert can be issued when pre-determined limits are reached. Now their new investment can be safely monitored, 24/7 and should humidity levels ever start to rise again, the plant manager will be alerted immediately.
